Crafted Precision for Ultimate Pure Imagery

The Simera 75mm features an optical design incorporating 1 aspherical lens, 2 high refractive index (HRI) lenses, and 2 extra-low dispersion (ED) lenses.

Cine-standard Optics, Superb Performance

With 16 aperture blades, the Simera 75mm f/1.4 ensures a perfectly round diaphragm from f/1.4 to f/16, delivering aesthetically pleasing bokeh and artistic starburst effects.
Featuring the same optical design as the Simera-C 75mm T1.5 cinema lens, it offers natural, soft focus roll-off at wide apertures. This creates a visually compelling narrative, with a shallow depth of field and exquisite out-of-focus rendering that enhances the subject and effortlessly creates a 3D pop effect. The nuanced interplay of light and shadow gives everyday images a cinematic depth and visual appeal.

The Simera 75mm f/1.4 is a great piece of kit. The transaction with Thypoch was well organised and efficient. Note that when pairing with a Leica M camera the focus calibration of the camera is critical and may require minor adjustment if it's the first time you've used f1.4 aperture on a lens longer than 50mm.

Very good value and performance but the lens cap is over engineered

Very good build quality, smooth focus throw and the aperture clicks so beautifully. Bokeh is to my eyes very beautiful. I use this lens on my Fujifilm GFX50R and there is a slight vignette. Either pick a different image format or correct in post editing. I am very happy with this lens :)

Simera Series FAQ

Which models of UV filters are compatible with Simera series lenses?

The Simera 28/35/50mm lenses are compatible with φ49mm UV filters. When both the lens hood and the UV filter are installed, they can be compatible with thin UV filters with a maximum diameter of 51.4mm, such as the "MC UV series" of MECO. The Simera 75mm lens is compatible with φ58mm UV filters and allows to install mainstream UV filters together with the lens hood.

Can the focus tab of Simera series be disassembled?

The focus tab cannot be disassembled. Since disassembling or assembling the focus tab involves the internal structure, it may damage the lens.

Do Simeralenses have electronic contacts?

There are no electroniccontacts on Simera lenses. They are manual lenses.

How to adjust the stepped or stepless aperture function on Simera lenses?

When the lens is installed on the camera, toggle the block on the front of the lens. Toggle to the left, a moon symbol represents the lens is stepless ; and a sun symbol represents stepped aperture if toggling to the right.

How to convert the format when Simera lenses are used on APS-C cameras?

The equivalent focal length = the focal length of the lens × the conversion coefficient. For example, when a 50mm lens is used on an APS-C camera, the actual perspective obtained is 50mm × the format conversion coefficient of APS-C cameras. Usually, the conversion coefficient of Sony and Nikon cameras is 1.5, and that of Canon cameras is 1.6.
