The Leica M-mount is known for its mechanical precision and tight tolerances. However, most traditional M-mount adapters use an internal leaf-spring structure without a true locking mechanism. In fast-paced or handheld shooting, especially when paired with follow focus systems, this can lead to instability and lens movement.
The Thypoch M-mount adapter features a dual-locking system that combines an positive lock with a secondary safety lock. This ensures the lens stays firmly in place, even during complex setups and rapid camera movements, giving creators the confidence and freedom to focus fully on their craft.
Legacy Continued, Precision Crafted
As an extension of the M-mount ecosystem, the Thypoch adapter is precisely machined to ensure accurate flange distance and consistent focus from minimum distance to infinity, allowing lenses to perform at their best. It has passed a 50,000-cycle mounting and unmounting durability test, maintaining a secure connection in a wide range of shooting conditions.
The mirrorless mount version combines aerospace-grade aluminum with a stainless steel bayonet for a lightweight yet solid build. The ARRI-M version is made entirely of high-strength stainless steel, offering greater rigidity and stability for more demanding production environments.

With a short flange distance of just 27.8mm, the Leica M-mount offers exceptional adaptability. Thypoch adapters cover a wide range of mounts including M-E, L, Z, RF, and ARRI, supporting multi-system use from mirrorless cameras to professional cinema rigs. They easily fit major mirrorless systems like Sony, Canon, Nikon, Panasonic, as well as cinema cameras such as RED and ARRI.
Thypoch adapters fully support all Thypoch M-mount lenses, including the Simera-C, Simera and Eureka series, and are compatible with most M-mount lenses available. This allows classic lenses to integrate seamlessly into modern cinematic workflows. Precision manufacturing allows creators to switch gear freely without compromising image quality or performance, opening up new creative possibilities.
Compact Setup, Enhanced Mobility
The compact design of the M system makes M mount lenses smaller and lighter than many modern cinema lenses. For example, the Simera-C T1.5 M-mount lenses weigh only 353–472g, and when paired with the Thypoch positive-lock adapter (75–94g), the total setup is far lighter than a typical PL system, which weighs around 1300–1800g (lens + adapter).
This represents a weight reduction of over 70%, while maintaining exceptional optical performance. Whether for extended handheld shooting, stabilizers, drones, car rigs, or crane jib arms, this lightweight setup reduces load and improves handling balance and flexibility.

Before using the Thypoch M-ARRI mount, please note: If you are using an ARRI Amira or ARRI Alexa Mini camera, the equipment must be sent to an official ARRI service center for necessary hardware modifications and internal adaption before use.
