Amazing contrast, quality and fresh breath of life in every shot, colors look amazing and vibrant, the build quality is insane and only con is it not being autofocus, because using the dji’s lidar focus pro is toooo much work for run and gun

The 16mm is as well built and cute as all the Simera-Cs and matches the look and sharpness. Close focus is hugely improved however and the focus ring feels very slightly smoother. I use a step-up to 77mm for the filter ring and this allows NDs with no vignetting. Good for a 16mm. Inspiring lens. Can't wait for the 100/105mmm? to complete the set. Vince...

Going from only shooting video with photo lenses to using the Simera-C has been a breath of fresh air! Loving the beautiful image quality and soft fall off around the edges gives my shots a cinema like feel to them without spending thousands! Only been using them for a few days now but can already tell it’s going to be a great relationship with these lenses!

Getting the lens wasn't such a great experience. I had to wait for weeks and then I had to pay almost 300 USD taxes to get the lens out of customs. The lens ( 16mm Thypoch simera c ) itself is fantastic. I have all the other cinema lenses from Thypoch and I am extremely happy with all of them. The 16mm is special, because it has such a unique and cinematic feel to it. Very different from other wide angle cinema lenses.

⭐⭐☆☆☆ (2/5) – Poor Fit & Compatibility Issues with Nikon Z8 / ZR I recently purchased the Thypoch M Lens Mount Adapter (Auto-Lock) along with the 35mm lens, intending to use them on my Nikon Z8 and Nikon ZR Unfortunately, my experience has been quite disappointing. Key Issues: Fit & Mounting Problems: The adapter does not mount smoothly on either camera body. It feels extremely tight, and I have to apply uncomfortable pressure to attach it. This raises serious concerns about potentially damaging the camera mount. Poor Alignment / Tolerance: The fit does not feel precise or well-engineered. For a lens adapter, I expect a secure but smooth mount—this feels forced and unsafe. Filter Size Mismatch: The included or specified filter size seems unusually small and does not fit properly as expected, which adds to the frustration. Build Confidence: Given the tight fit and resistance, I genuinely feel like continued use could damage the camera mount or lens interface. Unexpected Import Costs: I also had to pay around $100 in import duties, which makes the poor performance even harder to justify. Overall Impression: For a product in this category, precision and compatibility are critical—and this setup falls short. Between the mounting difficulty, questionable tolerances, and usability concerns, I cannot recommend this adapter/lens combination for Nikon Z users.
In love with the lens, 35mm allowed me to take some incredible shot with this characteristic creamy stamp. I'm thinking to get me with a 28mm Simera for pictures to try soon, thanks for bringing back old days with manual lenses.
Returning from this business is a hassle. I ordered a 35mm Simera C lens and an adapter. I tried to cancel shortly after ordering but was told it had already shipped. After receiving it, I requested a return, but customer service has been extremely slow. It’s been over a month with no return instructions, despite multiple follow-ups. My recommendation: if you’re in the U.S., don’t order from their official website. Order from Amazon instead, much faster support and easier returns.
Not only is the price-to-performance ratio excellent, but the quality is also truly high. I'm using it a lot for filming Netflix dramas!
I love them
Amazing small, lightweight high quality lenses with a nice wide aperture rendering. No minuses. And a very reasonable price. Can be used on pro movie sets as well as simply used as still lenses on your favorite system with M-mount adapter. They are living on my Nikon Zf and ZR currently. Work really well as AF lenses too with AF adapters to Nikon Z.
